Main Duties
* Take charge of the ward on a regular basis, accepting duties as delegated by the clinical ward manager.
* Support ward management, including deployment, supervision, teaching of staff and students, and resource allocation.
* Assess individual care needs, develop and implement care programmes, and set standards of care.
* Take responsibility for the management, deployment, and supervision of junior staff during duty, including night duty.
Person Specification
* Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability nurse (Band 5 or higher).
* Evidence of CPD and Clinical Supervision Training.
* Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent teamwork, patient‑focused attitude, and commitment to Trust values.
Qualifications
* Practical Mental Health or Learning Disability nursing experience at Band 5 or above.
* Professional registration with NMC and completion of Clinical Supervision Training.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

£39,959 to £48,117 a year, forensic lead payment. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed during the interview process.
