Job Description Job Reference: JH-RT-Suffolk Job Title: Personal Care Assistant Responsible to: Directly accountable to and taking direction from the employer (Mum) Hours: Term Time: 4 hours per week after school or weekend to be negotiated School Holidays: 8 hours per week split across 2 days Hourly Rate of Pay: £13.00 Based at: Employer's own home in Gazeley, Suffolk and out in the local community. Job Purpose We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic and experienced Personal Assistant to support a lively and engaging 6-year-old boy with Autism. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and has experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities. Key Responsibilities: * Providing 1:1 support tailored to the child's needs and interests * Full support with personal care and toileting. * Engaging in fun, active play in the home and at outings * Supporting communication and social interaction * Promoting independence and confidence in a safe and nurturing environment Essential Requirements: * Experience working with children with Autism and/or learning disabilities * A genuine passion for supporting children * Patience, creativity, and a good sense of humour * Ability to work flexibly and reliably Desirable: * Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or health and social care * A driving licence and access to a vehicle If you're interested in making a real difference in a child's life and joining a supportive family environment, we'd love to hear from you.
