GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a school in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, fostering curiosity and a love for learning in the sciences.
As a Science Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
* Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Teaching general science across Key Stages and specialising in your subject where required.
* Creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that supports all learners.
* Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
* Promoting a passion for scientific enquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
* Maintaining high standards of classroom management, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.
Requirements for Science Teacher:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
* Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
* Previous teaching experience in a school setting is desirable.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
