Volunteer Local Governor – Sir Thomas Wharton Academy
Join the Maltby Learning Trust team as a Local Governor and help shape the future of students at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy.
Overview
Governors are volunteers who bring expertise and enthusiasm to the Academy Education Committee. The role is flexible and scheduled in the evenings.
Responsibilities
* Attend evening meetings (Half‑Termly 5.30 pm start, 7 meetings per year).
* Review Academy reports and contribute to discussions on improvement.
* Support the Academy’s vision of delivering exceptional learning experiences.
Qualifications
* Experience in school leadership or the education sector is preferred.
* Commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
* Availability for evening meetings and termly commitments.
