Do you have experience working with students with SEMH, ASD, and challenging behaviour? We are working with a well-resourced and supportive SEMH secondary school that caters to students aged 11–16 with additional needs such as: * SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) * ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) * ADHD and other behavioural needs The Role – Youth Support Worker * Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring and intervention for students with SEMH and behavioural needs * Support pupils in and out of the classroom, helping them regulate emotions and re-engage with education * Work closely with teachers, SENCO, pastoral and external professionals * Help implement behaviour plans and support restorative practices * Be a positive role model and promote resilience, confidence, and inclusion Requirements – Youth Support Worker * Experience supporting young people in a school, PRU, youth centre or outreach setting * A calm, patient and consistent approach to behaviour support * Resilience and confidence to manage challenging behaviour * A strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches and safeguarding * DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) Ideal for candidates with a background in – Youth Support Worker * Youth Work / Youth Justice * Behaviour Mentoring * SEMH / SEN Support * Psychology, Criminology, or Social Work graduates If this Youth Support Worker role sounds like the job for you get in touch with the Education Team at Educo for further information
