This is an exciting opportunity to join a global consultancy firm, that's been tasked with doubling in size in the next few years. It's a special position that combines managing a team and commercial partnering with key stakeholders across the business.
The position is hands-OFF with month-end / management accounting, more reviewing, adding commercial value and business partnering.
You would be managing a team of 2, who in turn have a team of 4, reviewing their work and upskilling their commerciality and strategic thinking.
Your new role
As the successful candidate, your duties will include:
* Managing the finance team, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the Management Accounts and KPIs, to assist decision-making.
* Reviewing accounting processes, then suggesting and implementing improvements.
* Analysing KPIs on costs, fees, project margins and performance, vs targets.
* Producing commentary on any trends/variations to target or forecast.
* Partnering and advising senior managers on financial information and recommending actions.
* Reviewing accrued revenue and debtor with key stakeholders
* Supporting the FBPs with preparing quarterly forecasts and an operating plan
* Assisting local offices with system issues and training key stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will need to have / be:
* Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
* Previous people management experience
* Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
* Experience working with stakeholders both financial and non-financial
