Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include:
Portfolio Development & Marketing
1. Contribute to the growth of the Fixed Ie business by engaging with clients, prospects, and consultants;
2. Assess business opportunities, and develop products and solutions where there is high potential;
3. Create and implement marketing strategy, marketing materials, and investment guidelines;
4. Represent portfolio managers and explain investment processes and portfolios to audiences that range widely in sophistication levels;
5. Educate and consult with internal colleagues, clients and consultants on markets and portfolios;
6. Differentiate and position strategies relative to those ofpetitors;
7. Develop close working relationships with Business Development & Relationship Management colleagues.
Investment Integrity and Risk Management
8. Oversee the investment and risk integrity of our portfolios on behalf of clients, in line with expectations:
9. Set appropriate client expectations for performance in various market environments;
10. Identify investment and operational risk issues and rmend process improvements.
11. Manage risks to the firm in the course of business, and client negotiations.
Business Partner to Investment Teams
12. Contribute actively to product development processes;
13. Vet business opportunities in the context of the broader book of business;
14. Work with the EMEA Business Development & Relationship Management Group on fixed ie business strategy in the region;
15. Manage and lead the resolution of internal business issues associated with portfolios and solutions.
Qualifications
The successful candidate is likely to have:
16. A strong academic background, ideally including a post-graduate qualification ( MBA or CFA);
17. 10+ years of related professional experience, ideally gained within the Asset Management industry, or institutional investment consulting;
18. Excellent written, oral and interpersonalmunication skills;
19. A strong fixed ie background: portfolio management and/or product management experience strongly preferred;
20. Strong business judgment;
21. Excellent quantitative and problem solving skills, and the ability to synthesize risk and perform attribution analysis;
22. The ability to work independently and in a team environment, and to manage multiple priorities;
23. Creativity, attention to detail and leadership skills;
24. The willingness to develop knowledge of non-traditional instruments andplex investment strategies;
25. A willingness to travel;
26. The ability to develop and mentor the next generation;
27. European language skills are a plus but not required.
