Your new role As a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, whether it be in a group or 1:1 setting, as well as supporting the class teacher across both KS1 and KS2 year groups. There is always the potential to move round to different year groups depending on the school's needs, so you will need to be flexible and adapt your skills to meet the needs of the children.
