Our client, a leading defence and security company, is looking for a DV cleared DevOps Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is a critical role and requires 6 x candidates.
In this role, you'll play a crucial part in the full product lifecycle, collaborating with various teams to drive innovation, efficiency, and security. Your ability to stay ahead of technological trends and continually optimize workflows will be essential to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
* To ensure success as a DevOps engineer, you should ensure that all outputs remain safe for public consumption.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions.
* Conduct rigorous quality assurance testing to ensure software meets performance and security standards.
* Manage software updates, bug fixes, and ongoing improvements.
* Implement robust security measures to safeguard software and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
* Analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance user experience.
* Recommend and implement changes to workflows that increase productivity and operational efficiency.
* Identify market opportunities and propose new projects to address emerging needs and technological advancements.
Requirements:
* A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience throughout the entire software development lifecycle-from inception to retirement.
* Expertise in automation tools and processes for streamlined deployment and operations.
* Strong knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability management.
* Proficiency in a variety of coding languages and scripting techniques.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
* A customer-centric approach with the ability to take constructive feedback and translate it into actionable improvements.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
* Kubernetes: Experience building and managing Kubernetes clusters and application delivery.
* Applications: Familiarity with Apache NiFi, Elastic ECK, Artifactory.
* Secret Management: Expertise in using HashiCorp Vault.
* Operating Systems: Solid experience with Red Hat and Windows environments.
