Position Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Guidewire Business Analyst to support ongoing enhancements and steady-state operations for a regional insurer. This role will focus on Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or ClaimCenter modules and requires strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and agile delivery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment and balancing business analysis with light project coordination. Your future duties and responsibilities:
•Lead requirements gathering and documentation for Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter).
•Collaborate with business stakeholders to define scope, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
•Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and workshops to align business and technical teams.
•Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-stream coordination.
•Assist QA and development teams with clarifications and defect triage.
•Maintain documentation including BRDs, UML diagrams, wireframes, and data mappings.
•Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
•5+ years of Business Analysis experience, including 3+ years with Guidewire (PC or CC).
•Strong understanding of P&C insurance operations (underwriting, billing, claims).
•Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery models.
•Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and MS Office.
•Ability to manage dependencies and communicate effectively across teams.
•Familiarity with SQL and wireframing tools is a plus.
•CCBA or CBAP certification preferred.
Nice to Have:
•Experience with SmartComm, Grooper, or other insurance-related platforms.
•Exposure to cloud-based Guidewire implementations.
•Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFe).
