We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hard-working individual to join the Business Support function within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk (OPCCN) for a temporary 12-month maternity cover.
Applications are invited for the above post in the Performance and Scrutiny Directorate based at the OPCCN located in Wymondham and working in a hybrid workplace. This is a great career opportunity to join a busy and professional office working within local government as part of a Local Policing Body.
The successful applicant will work closely with their Business Support colleagues and be responsible for providing a proactive and comprehensive administrative support function to assist the Police and Crime Commissioner, Senior Management Team and the wider OPCCN team.
It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
* Minimum of two years' experience working in an administrative role
* Experience of dealing with a wide range of people at all levels
* Experience of working as part of a team
* GCSE level qualifications or equivalent
* Good organisational skills
* Good communication skills, both oral and written
* Good standard of ICT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people across all levels
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales
* Literate and numerate
* Flexible approach to work and changing priorities
It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
* Administrative qualification at NVQ Level 3 or above
* Ability to problem solve and work under own initiative with limited supervision
Hours of work are 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a temporary basis on a 12-month fixed contract, subject to vetting and successful completion of a six-month probation period.
