Company Accountant We are partnering with a successful manufacturing company based in Co Tyrone to recruit a skilled and detail-oriented Company Accountant to join their team for 1 year contract. This can either be full time or 30 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of an established company. The Company Accountant will be responsible for: Preparing and issuing sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Reconciling customer and supplier accounts, ensuring all payments are recorded and discrepancies are resolved. Monitoring accounts receivable ageing reports and following up on outstanding or overdue balances. Preparing and submitting the monthly EC Sales List and Intrastat reports. Preparing and filing quarterly VAT returns in accordance with regulations. Processing and recording bank and credit card transactions. Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Assisting with the preparation of quarterly management accounts. Completing and submitting required statutory government forms. Resolving tax and VAT-related queries or issues. Preparing and submitting customs declarations. Carrying out general administrative duties as required. What you need to have for the Company Accountant role: Proven experience in a company accountant or similar accounting role. Strong knowledge of VAT, tax compliance, and financial reporting. Experience with invoicing, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations. Ability to prepare management accounts and statutory returns. Experience with EC Sales List, Intrastat, and customs declarations is desirable. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
