Dandara is recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join our construction team, supporting the successful delivery of high-quality residential developments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our homes are built safely, efficiently, and to the exceptional standards our customers expect.
This role will initially be based finishing off a site in Hawkhurst before moving on to a brand new site in South Chailey, Lewes.
What You’ll Do:
* Support the Site Manager in day-to-day site operations.
* Help coordinate site setup, logistics, and traffic management.
* Supervise subcontractors and trades, ensuring work is completed to programme and specification.
* Assist with quality inspections, setting out, and monitoring construction progress.
* Ensure all Health & Safety, CDM, and environmental standards are maintained.
* Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and site documentation.
* Liaise with engineers, surveyors, and the wider site team to maintain build quality and efficiency.
About You:
* Experience within residential construction, ideally with a UK housebuilder.
* Strong understanding of build processes and site coordination.
* Good working knowledge of Health & Safety and quality management.
* Confident communicator and natural team player.
* Organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering excellence.
* Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office, digital site systems).
