Our audit practice is entering a new phase focused on growth. This new and exciting role has been created to help our mid-market (Private Capital) audit team transform our approach to winning new business in the mid-market.
You will be part of a supportive and growing audit Go-to-Market team, as well as the national Markets and Clients community. This is a great opportunity to help our partners and directors achieve their growth targets by ensuring rigour and momentum in their business and client development activities.
You will:
1. Transform our approach to winning new business with a proactive, structured approach aligned with the Firm’s Sales and Marketing Cycle.
2. Evolve our Business Development approach by bringing fresh insights from your experience to foster the right mindset.
3. Support and leverage private equity relationships and intermediary relations, establishing a key account management framework for PE houses.
4. Fully adopt and champion best practices for the new CRM system (Dynamics) within the Private Capital (PC) Audit practice.
5. Oversee reporting and monitoring of KPIs related to the sales pipeline.
6. Assist audit leaders, Head of G2M, and PC partners in identifying and pursuing new markets and targets, driving BD efforts.
7. Hold PC partners accountable for their actions and target development, flagging issues or lack of progress.
8. Collaborate with marketing to inform and leverage go-to-market plans.
9. Help develop propositions for the PC market through collaboration with wider assurance, tax, and advisory practices, providing insights into relevant business hooks.
10. Oversee a XLOS approach to PC targets, working across Entrepreneurial Services, Regions, Industries, and other Service Lines to gain synergies.
11. Support building a sales culture within the Private Capital practice through communication and coordination.
12. Identify and deliver training needs in BD/sales and account management.
Candidate Profile
To be suitable for this role, you should have:
1. Experience in professional services.
2. A background in marketing, BD, account management, or sales operations.
3. Effective stakeholder management skills at a senior level.
4. Interest or knowledge in Audit (beneficial but not critical).
The role is flexible regarding location but has a national scope, so travel may be required.
Preferred skills include understanding of lead generation, sales, client management, strong communication, initiative, experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics), project management, proactivity, and resilience.
