Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start (ASAP)

Aspire People are currently working with a secondary school in Stockport to recruit an experienced Behaviour Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. This is a long-term opportunity supporting students with challenging behaviour and additional needs.
Please note: The school is not accessible by public transport, therefore access to a car is essential.
The Role:
* Supporting students with challenging behaviour, either 1:1 or in small groups
* Implementing and consistently following the school's behaviour policy
* Supporting pupils to remain engaged in learning and regulate behaviour
* Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
* Providing a calm, firm, and positive presence in the classroom and around school
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience working with challenging behaviour (school, PRU, alternative provision, care, or youth work experience considered)
* Confident in behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
* Able to start immediately
* DBS registered on the Update Service (essential for immediate start)
* Able to provide references covering the last 2 years
* Reliable, resilient, and consistent in approach
* Access to a car due to school location
Desirable:
* Degree in Psychology, Criminology, Youth Studies, or a related field
* Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
* Background in SEN, SEMH, or pastoral support
