Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor Norfolk (Field-based with travel) £47,523 excellent benefits Full-time, Permanent We are recruiting on behalf of a leading housing provider for an experienced Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor to join their Home & Community Maintenance team. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for surveying domestic properties and communal areas, diagnosing damp and mould issues, managing remedial work programmes, and supporting the operational delivery of the disrepair service. This is a hands-on position where you’ll make a direct impact on residents’ quality of life. Key responsibilities: * Conduct detailed surveys in domestic and communal properties, diagnosing damp, mould, and disrepair issues * Develop and manage remedial work programmes, overseeing both in-house and contracted works * Liaise with residents to explain findings, planned works, and timescales * Work closely with contractors, ensuring service delivery meets contractual and quality requirements * Gather and maintain accurate case data, ensuring systems are kept up to date * Analyse root causes, recommend preventative measures, and monitor outcomes * Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and best practice standards * Prepare and present reports and KPIs for internal and external stakeholders * Collaborate with internal teams and resident groups to improve service delivery What you’ll need: * HNC in Building Construction or equivalent * In-depth knowledge of damp, mould, and disrepair management in residential properties * Strong understanding of statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements (including legal disrepair protocols) * Experience in social housing or a related sector * Proven track record of managing contractors and delivering high-quality customer service * Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills * Strong numerical and data analysis skills * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work use Benefits: * 25–30 days annual leave (increasing with service) * Generous employer pension contribution * Staff reward & discount scheme * Ongoing training and professional development * Tools and autonomy to deliver excellent results Apply today to take ownership of a vital service area, improving homes and making a difference to communities across Norfolk
