Project Sales Manager ( Fire Alarms )
Location: Bermondsey (Site & Office Based)
Salary: £55,000 plus Car Allowance
Contract : Permanent
The Role
This role suits someone with strong fire alarm system knowledge, a good understanding of British Standards (particularly BS 5839), and a proven ability to manage projects while achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out detailed site surveys to assess existing fire systems and identify upgrade or compliance opportunities
* Prepare and present compliant designs, quotations, and sales proposals in line with BS 5839 and relevant legislation
* Work closely with sales and project delivery teams to ensure technically accurate and commercially viable proposals
* Manage projects from order through to completion, ensuring compliance, profitability, and customer satisfaction
* Identify and convert upgrade opportunities from existing service and maintenance contracts
* Maintain accurate records of site visits, quotations, and sales activity within the CRM system
* Achieve or exceed monthly KPIs, including:
* Sales revenue targets (monthly and quarterly)
* Number of quotations issued
* Customer and site visit activity
* Build strong relationships with customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders
* Stay informed on changes to fire safety legislation, standards, and emerging technologies
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in fire systems sales, project management, or design engineering
* Strong technical understanding of fire detection and alarm systems, ideally within an upgrade or refurbishment environment
* Working knowledge of BS 5839, BS 5266, and relevant fire safety legislation
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment
* Full UK driving licence (car allowance provided)
