Role Overview:
As a Primary Teacher specialising in SEN, you'll be responsible for developing personalized and engaging learning plans for students with a range of special needs. You will collaborate closely with fellow educators and specialists to deliver the highest quality educational experience, ensuring each student's unique needs are effectively supported.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess lessons for students with a range of SEN in line with the school's curriculum.
* Develop individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other teaching staff, SEN coordinators, and parents.
* Provide support and differentiation in the classroom to ensure accessibility for all students.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and staff.
* Work collaboratively with other members of the SEN team, supporting the development of students both academically and socially.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting.
* Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant educational frameworks.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse needs.
* Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
Desirable:
* Experience with specific SEN conditions (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, ADHD).
* A commitment to continuous professional development in SEN education.
