Annual Salary: £45,000 - £47,000
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
Shift Times: 06:00 - 18:00
Working Hours: 40 hours
Manpower are hiring a permanent Site Manager for our client who transforms yesterday's cooking oils into tomorrow's green energy. The business recycles waste oil into renewable energy, supporting industries such as festivals and the National Grid, and helping build a sustainable future. Their UK-wide distribution network operates via Microsites, where vans and drivers supply fresh cooking oil to restaurants, takeaways, and catering businesses, while collecting used oils for processing into biofuel and renewable electricity.
The Microsite Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management and operations at the site, ensuring smooth running of warehouse and logistics activities, and leading a team of Drivers to deliver excellent customer service to all clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee all aspects of the microsite, including inbound/outbound goods, inventory management, staff management and sales generation.
* Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
* Optimise site operations to maximise efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
* Supervise and mentor employees, including training, performance management, and motivation.
* Improve employee engagement at the micro site.
* Manage and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
* Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the site, equipment, and vehicles.
* Prepare and submit reports to senior management on site operations, performance, and KPIs.
* Continuously monitor and evaluate site performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
What We'll Need From You
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (desirable).
* CPC National/International (desirable).
* Counterbalance / Reach FLT Licence (desirable).
* First Aider or willing to achieve.
* Fire Marshall or willing to achieve.
* Waste management experience (desirable).
* Experience in logistics or supply chain management, with site lead experience managing a team of Drivers.
* Experience in managing a small to medium logistics operation in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service and meeting KPIs.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* Strong customer service orientation.
