What Is the National Teaching Assistant Programme ? In partnership with local SEND schools, we provide high-quality training and paid, hands-on experience for those aspiring to become Teaching Assistants. After completing a successful interview and essential checks (suitability, safeguarding, and ID), we'll match you with a paid school placement that aligns with your strengths and interests. You'll receive full support from a dedicated ABC consultant, who will guide you throughout your journey. Before starting your placement, you'll participate in a online training programme - equipping you with the skills you need to succeed. ✅ What Does a Teaching Assistant Do? Teaching Assistants play a vital role in supporting learning and helping schools run smoothly. They foster positive relationships, encourage pupil engagement, and help create a safe and productive classroom environment. Your responsibilities may include: Assisting the teacher with classroom management and delivering targeted interventions Providing one-to-one support for pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour What We're Looking For: We're seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who: Have experience working with children (this doesn't need to be school-based ); experience with SEND is a strong advantage.
