We have a freestanding bathtub in our bathroom, and there is an issue with water leakage. When the bathtub is used, water seeps through a gap under the bathtub tiles and leaks down to the kitchen ceiling below. Key Points: The kitchen ceiling below has already been repaired with a new plasterboard after previous water damage, so the leakage area is not visible unless the plasterboard is removed. The bathtub itself is sealed in place, so it may need to be temporarily removed to properly inspect and access the gap. Photos are available showing the area before the ceiling plasterboard was replaced and when it got wet. A previous plumber noted that the gap between the bathtub and tiles could not be fixed, so the issue remains unresolved. What We Need: A professional to inspect the bathtub, tiles, and leakage area. Advice on the best solution to seal the area and prevent future water damage. Possible options may include removing/reinstalling the bathtub, sealing, tiling, and waterproofing. Goal: To stop water from leaking under the bathtub and causing damage to the kitchen ceiling.
