We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Systems SME to support airline engineering systems and MRO platforms in a critical 24x7 environment.
Responsibilities
* Support 24x7 operations of engineering systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Deliver production support in line with defined service levels and KPIs.
* Manage incidents, service requests, and operational activities across engineering systems.
* Align closely with Engineering System and Application Support Managers.
* Identify opportunities for service improvement and drive implementation of best practices.
* Maintain operational excellence through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimisation.
* Provide on‑call support on a rota basis to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
* Work flexibly to support global operations and business requirements.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in Engineering MRO systems, including platforms such as Trax.
* Proven airline experience with a solid understanding of engineering systems applications.
* Hands‑on experience with Airbus and Boeing system administration.
* Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and experience delivering BAU support, including on‑call responsibilities.
* Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and service management processes.
* Experience in Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Request Management.
* Strong sense of ownership and accountability in managing operational responsibilities.
* Attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in high‑pressure environments.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across business and technology teams.
* Strong organisational skills with experience working in fast‑paced environments.
* Airline domain expertise in aircraft engineering and maintenance.
* Experience supporting large‑scale, mission‑critical engineering systems.
* Exposure to 24x7 operations and global support delivery models.
* Ability to drive service improvement initiatives within support functions.
