AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access to our cloud services. We work on complex problems with many variables and seek talented individuals to join our team.
You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and more. You will collaborate across AWS to uphold high standards for safety and security, providing extensive capacity at low cost, and fostering an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and ownership.
We are hiring a motivated Project Lead for our Infrastructure Delivery team. The role involves end-to-end management of medium to large-scale Data Center deployments, including migrations, new sites, and regions.
This role includes:
1. Initial equipment and resource planning, installation, and validation through capacity deployment.
2. Coordinating with stakeholders to determine device and cabling requirements, scheduling resources, engaging vendors, and reporting progress.
3. Installing, racking, stacking, cabling, and configuring networking devices using automation tools and CLI.
4. Validation, troubleshooting, and stress testing prior to capacity delivery.
The ideal candidate is autonomous, detail-oriented, skilled in hardware/software troubleshooting, and capable of developing automation solutions to scale deployments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking, infrastructure technology, cabling best practices, and experience managing workflows via ticketing systems.
* AS/BS or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
* Willingness to travel up to 50%, including local and international assignments across EMEA.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Strong understanding of networking protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, BGP, OSPF).
* Experience with ITIL, LEAN, AGILE, and operational excellence frameworks.
* Experience managing medium to large, complex projects with ambiguous details.
