Ourclientslove flexibility and hybrid working they offer4 days work from home and just 1 day in the office(after 3 months probation period subject to yourperformance) but if you prefer to be in the office more thats goodwith them!
Jobresponsibilities:
* Ownand manage a portfolio of moderately complex Personal Injury thirdparty motor claims and associated damage claims as defined below;within own agreed authority levels of up to55000:
o Vulnerable Road User Claims; Pedestriansmotor cyclists bicycles
o Specific KYO Claimantsolicitors
o Initial fraud concern cases if notretained by Fraud e.g. LVI
o Moderate bodilyinjury claims and psychological trauma
o Claimsmanaged within the Personal Injury ClaimsPortals
o Scottish & Northern IrelandJurisdictionClaims
* Manageand negotiate (a small caseload) of development files outside ownauthority limit on strict referral to Senior Personal injurySpecialists
* Ensure all files are reservedaccurately and liability is agreed within existing case law andaccident circumstances
* Responsible for ensuringthe reserves fully reflect the level of damages on eachfile
* Process and authorise claim payments asrequired within personalauthorities
* Effectively negotiate withcustomers suppliers and all relevant ThirdPartyrepresentatives
* Proactive management assessmentand sign off all litigation including tracking trends andidentifying process improvements
* Ensure anybodily injury claims which exceed the large loss criteria arereviewed and promptly reported to our Large Lossteam
* Ensure all continuous improvement ideasare raised via the Team leader or TechnicalLead
* Identify and champion potential fraudulentclaims and participates in internal auditactivity
* Act as a mentor buddy and referralpoint to our Personal Injury Handlers
* Assistcolleagues with new starter training
* Developand maintain effective relationships with colleagues and businesspartners
* Carry out duties activities and tasksas directed within the Customer and Operationspillar
* Ensure compliance with Company PoliciesValues and guidelines at alltimes
Experience&knowledge:
* ProficientExperience of handling personal injury claims including indemnityvalidation accurate reserve setting liability resolution quantumassessment and settlement techniques
* ProficientExperience of handling third party Injury claims liaisingeffectively with different claimant representatives (KYO/ NonKYO)
* Proficient knowledge of liabilityassessment
* Proficient knowledge of RTAliability and litigation processes and ability to risk assesscases. Good knowledge of RTA/Article 75 and how or when toapply
* Detailed knowledge of all appropriate andrelevant personal injury case law and the current legallandscape
* Proficient knowledge of motor claimsincluding all areas of moderately complex Personal injury (aslisted in Job Responsibilities)
* A goodknowledge of working with the MOJ and OICportals
* Full understanding of the mainprinciples of English Scottish Irish and Foreign Law as it appliesin the technical motor claims and legalfield
* Solid understanding of all aspects ofmotor claims to include credit hire litigation and potentialfraud
* Experience of working and assistingcolleagues in a team environment
* Commercialawareness and ability to shape counterstrategies
