Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permit Controller to join our team in Stevenage. You will support the Capital Projects team by managing contractor activities, issuing General and Supplemental Permits to Work, and monitoring contractors on projects.
* Fulfill the role of General Permit Issuer and Supplemental Permit Issuer as defined in VQD-SOP-005517.
* Manage fire system communication and potential impairments as per VQD-SOP-005106.
* Manage project EHS risks during demolition and construction phases.
* Support EHS audits and contractor competency assurance.
* Manage high-risk activities and ensure area handovers meet standards.
* Collect and present H&S statistical data.
* Support accident and incident investigations.
* Engage with local EHS representatives and area owners, facilitate Gemba walks and area handovers.
Qualifications
* CSCS card (White / Black)
* SMSTS certification
* NEBOSH Diploma and Certificate
* Extensive construction industry experience
* Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
