A leading manufacturer of components and assemblies is looking to recruit a Plant Manager at their South Wales facility to lead and manage all related tasks on site. The company is well positioned in the marketplace, supplying into the Automotive sector and heavily working with Electric Vehicles. This global business is thriving and seeking a Plant Manager to implement change, improve the culture, and expand into new areas. You would be joining the business at a pivotal time to make significant changes and play a major role in the company's growth.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Run the plant and sign off on key decisions across the business.
2. Provide leadership, strategic, financial, operational, commercial, and technical direction to deliver future growth.
3. Lead the development and implementation of company strategy and business plans.
4. Support, develop, and manage the team with a proactive approach.
5. Agree budgets and forecasts, allocate resources, and make corrective actions as needed.
6. Implement KPIs and drive change in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain processes to reduce lead times and costs.
7. Establish strategic business partnerships for competitive advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Strong process engineering background with experience as a Plant Manager or Managing Director in manufacturing.
* Experience proposing and implementing process improvements.
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential.
* Strong leadership skills to improve business culture and processes.
