Overview
Role: Mental Health Support Worker
Contract: 6 week contract (potential temp to perm), 20 + hours per week.
Pay: £13 per hour.
We are looking for a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to support individuals in crisis. You will assess needs, provide emotional guidance, and facilitate group and one-on-one engagement, helping clients access mainstream services. Experience in mental health, motivation skills, and the ability to understand client needs are essential.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to people with mental health problems, in a drop in centre in Barnstaple.
* Work collaboratively with local agencies.
* Engage clients experiencing mental health challenges.
* Signpost and facilitate group activities.
About You / Qualifications
* Experience in mental health, with an understanding of complex needs.
* Ability to engage, inspire, and motivate others.
* Be a good listener and the ability to empathise with people.
* Excellent communication skills.
