We are seeking a GP to join the practice for long-term locum maternity cover for a period of 9 months, working 5 sessions per week (days to be negotiated). The role will involve providing routine GP duties including both telephone and face-to-face consultations for acute and routine appointments.
All patient requests are triaged by a duty GP prior to booking, ensuring that only appropriate and relevant cases are scheduled into your clinic.
Appointments are scheduled in 15-minute slots, with 12 appointments per session.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing acute, chronic, and complex conditions in line with GMC and NICE guidance.
Duties will also include reviewing test results, hospital correspondence, prescriptions, and clinical tasks, as well as maintaining accurate clinical records of all consultations using EMIS Web.
You will work collaboratively with our clinical and administrative teams to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and responsive care.
The role also involves supporting continuity of care, safeguarding responsibilities, and maintaining high clinical standards.
The GP will be supported by a strong multidisciplinary team, including experienced nursing staff, pharmacists, and care coordinators.
