The Elms Medical Centre is a friendly, semi-rural GP practice serving a patient population of around 12,500.
Our multidisciplinary team includes GPs, practice nurses, advanced nurse practitioners, clinical pharmacists, first contact practitioners, a physician assistant, paramedics, a mental health professional, and a social prescribing link worker. The clinical team is supported by a team of managers covering practice management, business development, dispensing, and finance, with close collaboration across our Primary Care Network through a digital and transformation lead. We are also actively involved in training GP registrars and medical students.
We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team, working 30 hours per week (preferably Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
Key duties will include:
· New patient health checks
· ECGs
· ABPM recording
· Ear irrigation
· Blood pressure monitoring
· NHS Health Checks
· Diabetes foot checks
· B12 injections and selected immunisations
· Palliative care support
Previous experience in these areas is desirable, but full training will be provided where necessary.

The salary range is £27,000 - £31,000 per annum pro rata for part-time work, dependent upon skills and experience.
Holiday entitlement is 6.6 weeks annually, including Bank Holidays. One week of study leave is offered annually.
