The purpose of this position is to plan, produce, and deliver compelling, professionally written proposals that articulate the contractor’s value proposition across civil engineering and infrastructure projects, managing the full process from early PQQ stage through to final tender submission. What You’ll Be Doing * Research sectors, industries, and client profiles to develop tailored, high-quality proposals. * Prepare, write, and edit bid submissions for both public and private sector clients. * Manage the full bid process, collaborating with internal teams and meeting all deadlines. * Create clear, engaging content, executive summaries, and presentations that communicate win themes. * Present technical information in a professional, accessible style. * Maintain and update a library of standard responses, case studies, and supporting documents. * Refine existing content such as responses, CVs, and organisation charts using SME input. * Ensure all submissions meet client requirements, legislation, and internal policies. * Support business-wide needs with written material for awards, capability statements, and marketing. * Conduct post-bid reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future submissions. * Promote sustainability, quality, and environmental compliance in all written work. What We’re Looking For Essential * Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading ability with a persuasive, professional tone. * Strong attention to detail and a flair for translating technical data into engaging narratives. * Proven writing experience – ideally within bids, tenders, or proposals. * Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritise effectively. * Highly organised with a structured, process-driven approach. * Confident communicator with a collaborative and proactive mindset. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe. * Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline. * Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork. * Experience storyboarding and developing visual bid content.
