Strategy Director - Merlin
London
The Role
This is a unique opportunity to further your career as a marketing strategist on some of the world's best brands. Working alongside an experienced Strategy Partner or Managing Partner, your responsibility will be to create brilliant strategic thinking that powers the day‑to‑day campaign planning of our biggest clients and take a leading role shaping the overall media strategy of our smaller clients. You will inspire cross‑agency teams to build creative and effective solutions for clients, helping them build a competitive advantage.
You will play a leading role in identifying the insight and shaping the ideas at the heart of those campaigns, collaborating with external agency partners to create integrated and effective recommendations for our clients. In addition, you will play a critical role in new business and agency culture, leading the strategy on some smaller pitches, contributing to agency training initiatives, and helping produce thought‑leadership.
The Clients
The clients will be a mix of Tier 1 (contributing), Tier 2 and Tier 3, including an exciting new business win for OMD UK, Merlin Entertainments! With a breadth of brilliant attractions and theme parks across the UK—Alton Tower, Thorpe Park, The London Eye, Warwick Castle, Sea Life centres nationally, and many more—it is a fantastic opportunity to join this newly formed team and partnership.
About the Agency

We transform better customer understanding into marketing impact with world‑class talent and technology, working with some of the world's most iconic and influential brands.

Flexible Working
At Omnicom Media Group, we are committed to supporting flexibility for our people while fostering collaboration, innovation, and teamwork. We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two days working remotely) to meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in‑person connections with the flexibility of remote work. Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their workday, whether in the office or remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
We encourage open conversations between our people and managers to help navigate high‑need periods and individual circumstances. Our goal is to create an environment where people feel genuinely supported to do their best – both in their careers and in their lives outside of work.
