Champneys Forest Mere is seeking an experienced and motivated Spa Manager to join our leadership team on a 6-month maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead one of the most integral parts of the Champneys brand within a world-class wellness destination.

The Role
As Spa Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the spa operation at Champneys Forest Mere. You will lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team while ensuring the delivery of exceptional service, strong commercial performance, and impeccable standards throughout the spa.
This role is ideal for a confident and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, luxury environment and is passionate about wellness, people development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee all daily spa operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and outstanding guest experiences
* Inspire, manage, and support the spa team, promoting a positive, professional, and high-performance culture
* Work collaboratively with senior management and other departments to maintain strong communication and operational alignment
* Drive treatment and retail sales performance, motivating the team to achieve and exceed targets
* Manage staffing levels, rotas, recruitment, inductions, and performance management
* Ensure all team members receive ongoing training and development to maintain the highest standards of service
* Monitor budgets, control costs, and maximise revenue opportunities
* Conduct regular spa inspections to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety
* Liaise with product houses and suppliers to support training, retail performance, promotions, and stock management
Health & Safety
* Take overall responsibility for Health & Safety within the spa department
* Ensure full compliance with fire safety, COSHH, and all health and safety regulations
* Confirm all team members are fully trained and qualified before delivering treatments
* Maintain a safe working environment for both guests and colleagues at all times
Knowledge & Experience
You will bring:
* Extensive knowledge of spa treatments and products, with the ability to tailor services to individual guest needs
* A strong understanding of team skill sets to ensure effective scheduling and delegation
* Sound knowledge of Fire, Health & Safety procedures
* Proven experience managing a spa or similar wellness operation
* Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* A calm, confident, and results-driven approach
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy (essential)
* Spa Management qualification (desirable but not essential)
* Previous spa management or senior spa leadership experience
