Interaction Education are pleased to currently be supporting a great secondary school in Stevenage in their search for a Site Manager/Caretaker. This role will require someone with previous school caretaking experience or experience in a similar role. Key Responsibilities: Open and close the school premises daily, ensuring site security. Carry out general maintenance, basic repairs, and minor DIY tasks. Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems. Ensure the site is clean, safe, and well-presented at all times. Support contractors and deliveries on site. Conduct regular checks on the premises and equipment. Assist with setting up rooms for school events or lettings. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar caretaking or facilities role (preferred). Basic maintenance/DIY skills. Good communication and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and use initiative. Awareness of health & safety and safeguarding procedures. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
