DevOps & Software Engineer
Location: Malvern (On-Site)
Contract: 12 Months (Extensions Likely)
Clearance: Active DV Clearance Required
Rate: £550 – £650 per day
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Are you a skilled DevOps Engineer with an active DV clearance, ready to take on a high-impact role in a secure environment? We're seeking a hands-on DevOps & Software Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team working on mission-critical systems. This is a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension, offering a unique opportunity to shape secure software delivery from end to end. Strong Kubernetes and Apache NiFi expertise.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and release secure, scalable software.
* Implement quality assurance processes to ensure outputs meet stringent security and performance standards.
* Deploy updates, patches, and fixes as part of continuous integration and delivery.
* Champion security best practices to protect software from vulnerabilities.
* Contribute to ongoing improvements by gathering user feedback and identifying process enhancements.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.
Skills & Experience:
* A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience across the full software development lifecycle.
* Hands-on expertise with DevOps tools and automation pipelines.
* Strong understanding of software security and risk mitigation.
* Proficient in multiple coding/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Java, etc.).
* Passionate about innovation, efficiency, and secure development.
* Excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
