Overview
Assistant Store Manager in our Fort William store. You will assist in managing the store's profit and loss through effective team management. You will monitor and respond to sales figures to ensure the store remains profitable. Customer service is at the forefront of our approach, and you will drive service through the sales team and lead from the front.
Responsibilities
* Be accountable for overall performance including customer service, people, product, and day-to-day operations.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and operational guidelines; carry out people processes (e.g., disciplinaries, investigations) under guidance from HR.
* Provide innovative and practical solutions; evaluate performance using key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
* Retail experience, preferably at supervisor/management level.
* Knowledge of the outdoor sports market is advantageous.
* Experience in merchandising within a retail environment.
* Experience in team management and training/developing others.
* Experience in dealing with the public and cash handling/banking.
* Experience in stockroom management; sound product knowledge and health & safety knowledge.
* Active participation in outdoor activities.
