Duties
* Manage commercial activities across the project, supporting the Project Manager and Commercial Lead
* Administer contracts with a strong focus on NEC (Option A preferred)
* Lead subcontract procurement, including tendering, evaluation, and appointment
* Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
* Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow to maximise financial performance
* Implement robust change control processes, ensuring recovery of all variations and compensation events
* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
* Produce accurate CVRs, reports, and forecasts
* Manage subcontractor accounts, payments, and contractual notices
* Work collaboratively with delivery teams to drive project success
Person Specification
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or highways projects
* Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (Option A essential/preferred)
* Experience managing subcontractors and commercial processes end‑to‑end
* Solid understanding of cost control, forecasting, and reporting
* Ability to identify risks, manage change, and protect commercial position
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ideally degree‑qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field
