Overview
Machinery and Habitat Maintenance Teacher at Activate Learning. Permanent, full-time role based at Merrist Wood College campus, joining the Land-based teaching team at Merrist Wood College.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver purposeful practical and theory lessons on Level 2 and Level 3 programmes in Machinery operation and habitat maintenance.
* Work collaboratively with the existing team to ensure curriculum delivery aligns with industry needs.
* Inspire students and provide a memorable learning experience; act as a role model for professional development and employability.
* Contribute to curriculum development and assessment approaches to meet changing industry demands.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant qualification at Level 3 or higher in a subject such as Arboriculture, Horticulture/Landscaping, Countryside Management, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or similar.
* Extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of a range of land-based machinery, including handheld and ride-on equipment, and experience in organizing practical habitat maintenance tasks.
* Formal qualifications in machinery operations (NPTC, Lantra, NPORS) are desirable but not required.
