About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
What you'll be doing
As a Electrical Permits & Authorisation Lead, you will have the following accountabilities.
1. MEH Alliance Joint Venture Electrical Permitting S
2. Complete Electrical Permit Templates
3. Electrical Permit Management
4. Supporting with the selection and recruitment of the Authorising Engineers, Authorised Persons, and Competent Person.
5. Development of training requirements to support the safe delivery of the MEH Alliance Joint Venture electrical scope in relation to permitting, lock out, testing and energisation.
6. Development of any further training requirements to support the safe delivery of the MEH Alliance Joint Venture electrical scope in relation to HPC.
Who we're looking for
Do you have?
7. Qualified in an electrical engineering capacity / discipline, with a proven track record, and in-depth experience of delivering large technically complex infrastructure projects.
8. Experience of managing people, and the successful creation and execution of project level strategies and teams.
9. Working knowledge of IT and digital processes.
10. Experience in the management of complex, high fault level electrical systems inclusive of high voltage networks.
11. Shall have an in-depth working knowledge of electrical energy systems.
12. Shall hold a valid CSCS / ECS card or equivalent.
13. Ability to obtain a high-level security clearance
