Guided by National and professional policies the post holder will work as part of the HCSW Career Framework implementation team to ensure effective delivery of the clinical induction programme for HCSW’s and the ongoing delivery of the Framework to include assessment of competencies in practice.
The post holder will:
• Work closely with the HCSW Development Lead to support the monitoring and evaluation of the Clinical Induction
programme.
• Communicate with other health professionals advising on effective teaching development and assessment techniques
in the clinical area.
Main duties of the job
Plan and coordinate the delivery of education and development projects across the Health Board to an agreed timetable liaising with speakers from different professional groups and persuading and influencing when required.
• Plan and deliver the clinical induction programme ensuring that it takes place on a regular basis throughout the year.
• Organise multi disciplinary meetings to discuss the clinical Induction programme to ensure that it is sufficiently planned
and supported.
• Plan and prioritise own work to ensure effective support to all areas and delivery of key objectives and be guided by national and local policies as well as the all Wales HCSW Career Framework and decide when it is necessary to refer issues to line manager.
• Develop individual learning plans for Health Care Support workers.
