Job Description
3. Manage the procurement of indirect goods and services to meet operational needs.
4. To cover all indirect categories.
5. To lead a lean team in the day to day responsibilities within indirect procurement.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure value and quality.
7. Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
8. Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for procurement improvements.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
10. Collaborate with internal teams to understand and fulfil procurement requirements.
11. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
12. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Indirect Buyer should have:
13. Proven experience in procurement or supply chain within the manufacturing sector is desirable
14. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
15. Knowledge of procurement systems and processes.
16. Ability to analyse data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
17. Have some experience or understanding of coaching and developing others
18. Attention to detail and a focus on compliance and quality.
19. Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
