The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in the UK & Ireland’s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat designs, develops, and delivers a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of prefabricated energy solutions, primarily built in NI and shipped across the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating, with extensive experience in delivering projects to public bodies across the UK & Europe.
Role Overview:
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Production Co-Ordinator to support our manufacturing and assembly team at Scarva 1, reporting to Banbridge HQ. This permanent role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate eager to develop their career within a progressive and dynamic company.
The Production Co-Ordinator will ensure materials are available for yard works, inspect pipework/frames returned from subcontractors, and update records on Fieldview (training provided).
Job Details
* Location: Scarva 1 / Banbridge
* Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 3pm
* Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
* Responsible to: Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
* Generate picking lists & coordinate with stores for timely delivery (see new Warehouse app procedure).
* Ensure fabrication & assembly drawings are issued to subcontractors, recorded on release and master schedules.
* Obtain timely approval of drawings by Contracts and notify Document Control for issuance.
* Provide daily & weekly KPI data as specified for each site.
* Update process progress on Fieldview daily, supporting site supervisors.
* Assist in developing and maintaining production plans with the Planner.
* Participate in daily fabrication & assembly meetings.
* Follow up on shortages from CMRs (see Warehouse app procedures).
* Organise transport for galvanising subcontractors with team members.
* Attend improvement meetings and implement agreed actions.
* Resolve technical issues on shopfloor escalated by the Site Supervisor.
* Act as deputy to the Site Supervisor when absent.
* Coordinate transfer of painted pipes to assembly, managing transport and schedules with internal and external subcontractors.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Criteria:
* At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Ability to read and interpret assembly and schematic drawings.
* Proficient with IT systems and equipment.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Criteria:
* Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ in construction, CSR).
