Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Level 2 EC&I Technician to join one of our global chemical clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, control, and instrumentation systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment, as well as developing growth and development (Level 3 qualification provided for you after completion of induction).
Duties
* Conduct planned and preventative maintenance and inspections of electrical and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in programmable logic controllers (PLCs),
* Interpret technical drawings using AutoCAD for system upgrades or modifications.
* Support the installation and integration of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Assist with system testing, and documentation to maintain accurate records.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
* Be able to use multiple systems to organise material orders, process work orders
* Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams
* Comply with COMAH regulations
Requirements
* Proven experience working as an EC&I Technician in a highly regulated environment
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems
* Knowledgeable of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and procedures.
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or related
* CompEx, ATEX and 18th edition certifications essential
* Must be committed to shift work every 5th week
