MPI has a requirement for a Site and Engineering Lead - RN Support to work on site at RNAS Yeovilton, BA22 8HT.

This is a permanent role, 38 hours per week.

Our client is recruiting for a Site and Engineering Lead to join the AESAS 21 team based at RNAS Yeovilton. The key purpose of this role is to lead a contract with a focus on operational and engineering capability, delivering excellent service to the customer, strong financial returns, service improvements, and business growth. You will oversee all professional engineering matters, within the scope of Military Regulation Publication (MRP) Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145, and Regulatory Article (RA) 4801, to meet contractual requirements safely and successfully.

The Site and Engineering Lead will direct all operational activities, inspire and develop the team, and ensure policies and processes are in place to govern responsibilities, mitigate risks, and meet all business and legislative requirements. Additionally, you will build and manage relationships with customer stakeholders, foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and ensure value for money.


Main Accountabilities:

1. Manage and oversee the operational delivery of the AESAS (Yvl) organization, ensuring effective governance control to meet contractual obligations.
2. Be accountable for all Form 4 holder duties, with the ability to hold Level H authority, and act as the single point of contact for engineering advice, including delegated Preservation of Airworthiness.
3. Establish and operate an organizational structure that provides a safe, efficient, and effective engineering environment.
4. Manage and maintain a Government Procurement card (ePC) in accordance with MOD guidance.
5. Ensure the security and proper management of personnel and equipment assets.
6. Professionally manage engineering resources, ensuring standards and authorized practices are employed.
7. Maintain an integrated Quality Management System and promote a quality culture.
8. Support RN Air Safety Management system (ASIMs) through administrative activities.
9. Identify and implement strategic service improvements across the contract.
10. Develop the customer base with innovative solutions supporting their transformation and business goals.
11. Identify organic business growth opportunities and work with the Contract Manager to deliver new growth.
12. Ensure employees understand and implement business strategies, supporting their development and engagement.
13. Deputize for the AESAS Contract Manager and liaise with external agencies as required.


Requirements to do the role:

* Experienced Aircraft Engineer with Form 4 and delegated Level H authority.
* Engineering Degree or Higher National Certificate/Diploma.
* Registered member of an appropriate institution, holding Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
* Extensive experience in civil or military aviation environments.
* Knowledge of MAA, CAA & EASA Part 145 Regulations/Approvals.
* Understanding of all Civil and Military Airworthiness Safety Regulations.
* Proven leadership and management skills.
* Creative thinker with business improvement and innovation skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Strategic and operational thinking abilities.
* Ability to develop partnerships with customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
