Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to provide an efficient and comprehensive pharmaceutical service within the prison.
* Participate in all aspects of dispensing, including labelling, stock rotation, secure storage and managing dispensary queries.
* Ensure the delivery of a legal, safe and high-quality pharmaceutical service in line with national and local policies, with a strong emphasis on maintaining security at all times.
* Support the implementation of the medicines management strategy, including service improvement projects across Norfolk Prisons.
* Assist in promoting cost-effective prescribing and support the medicines optimisation strategy, contributing to the effective management of medication budgets.
* Deliver services in accordance with HCRG Care Group Medicines Policy and uphold the highest standards of care and confidentiality.
Ideal Candidate
* Knowledge of legislation and good practice in relation to medicines.
* Experience of stock control.
* Demonstrate initiative.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clinicians, healthcare professionals and patients.
* Ability to manage own workload and meet objectives and targets.
* Ability to motivate self and others.
* Ability to perform in a challenging environment.
* Ability to respond in a calm manner in a crisis.
* Good attendance.
