Teaching Assistant (Support Work Background Preferred) Croxteth, Liverpool Full-time | September Start | Long-term & Temp-to-Perm Opportunities Pay Rate: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour Are you an experienced Support Worker looking to transition into education? Do you have a passion for supporting children and helping them thrive in a school environment? We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Croxteth area starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with support work, care, or youth work experience who are keen to make a positive impact in the classroom. The Role: Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 within the classroom Working 1:1 or with small groups to support learning and development Assisting children with additional needs, including SEN and behavioural needs Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience in support work, care, youth work, or a similar child-focused role A passion for working with children and supporting their development Strong communication and relationship-building skills A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach Ability to adapt to different school settings and pupil needs A desire to pursue a career in education What We Offer: Competitive daily rates of pay (dependent on experience) Opportunities for long-term and permanent placements Ongoing CPD and training opportunities (including safeguarding & TA development) Dedicated consultant support throughout your assignment Opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience in supportive primary schools Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to take your first steps into education from a support work background, we’d love to hear from you.
