A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to support the delivery of major water utilities and infrastructure works in Leicestershire. This is a long-term, outside IR35 contract offering stability and the opportunity to work on high-profile projects.
The Role
You will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil engineering works across complex infrastructure schemes. Working closely with site teams, designers, and stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the delivery of water utilities and civil infrastructure projects
Managing technical queries, drawings, and design coordination
Assisting with planning, sequencing, and short-term programmes
Monitoring quality, safety, and environmental compliance on site
Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
Contributing to cost control, reporting, and project documentation
About You
Proven experience as a Project Engineer within civil engineering
Strong background in water utilities and infrastructure projects
Experience on linear projects such as highways, pipelines, or rail is highly advantageous
Sound understanding of construction methodologies and site delivery
Confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving approach
