Physiotherapy Assistant - Oaklands Hospital, Salford
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team.
We are seeking a motivated individual who enjoys working with people. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, spread over 5 days, with some weekend work on the ward rota. Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
This varied position involves clinical duties on the ward with the inpatient team and in the outpatient department. Responsibilities include working alongside physiotherapists to see orthopaedic patients on the ward, assisting with post-operative rehabilitation classes, and supporting physiotherapy pre-assessment clinics.
You will also support the team with administrative duties.
Experience as a therapy assistant or in a hospital/caring rehabilitation environment is desirable.
This role is ideal for those looking to broaden their knowledge and skills or planning to train as a Physiotherapist in the future.
The physiotherapy department offers a structured in-service training programme, regular clinical supervision, mentoring, and peer support. Applicants should demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, excellent customer service, and flexibility to meet changing needs. The role involves safe patient and equipment handling; therefore, good physical health is required.
