About the role
The People and Culture Assistant will provide efficient, proactive and confidential support across all areas of HR and organisational wellbeing. Working closely with the People and Culture Manager and People and Wellbeing Officer, this role helps ensure that the charity’s people processes run smoothly and that staff across Scotland experience a consistent, fair and values-driven approach to their employment journey.
Key responsibilities:
HR administration and support – assist with all stages of the employee lifecycle, ensuring accurate records and smooth coordination of recruitment, onboarding and contractual processes.
Wellbeing and engagement – support wellbeing, inclusion and engagement initiatives that promote a positive and values-driven organisational culture.
Learning and development – coordinate training activities and maintain records of staff development and compliance.
Policy and continuous improvement – contribute to updating people policies, improving systems and supporting HR reporting and data accuracy.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
You should have experience in administration or office support, ideally within HR or a people-focused environment. A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to multitask effectively across different priorities are essential.
You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
A CIPD qualification or interest in pursuing one would be an advantage.
