Shift Technician We are currently recruiting a Shift Technician based at Levenmouth Waste Water Treatment Works, Leven, Fife, Scotland. About the role: Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the safe operation and optimisation of the treatment processes associated with a fully automated waste water treatment works and connected pumping stations. Working as part of a small and dedicated team you will use a project wide telemetry/SCADA system to monitor and control the waste water and sludge treatment processes in order to meet the rigorous environmental performance targets and business obligations. You will also carry out initial investigation and rectification works in advance of repairs by the maintenance team in line with strict Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation. The shift system is based on a nominal 40-hour week using a 06.00-14.00, 14.00-22.00 and 22.00-06.00 rota, providing cover 7 days/week. The rota also includes a 08.00-16.30 dayshift element. The ideal candidate will: Be qualified to BTEC/HNC level in an engineering/science discipline Have a minimum 2 years process industry experience within an E/M/ICA background. Familiarisation with fluid and solids handling plant, including associated instrumentation and automation through SCADA systems would be an advantage, although full site-specific training will be provided, Therefore, a positive attitude, flexible approach and willingness to learn new skills is a must.
