About The Role
On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker to support their base maintenance activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out modifications and maintenance in accordance with approved drawings and maintenance data, taking full accountability for the technical integrity of all work performed
Complete strip/removal of major structural aircraft equipment
Interpret technical manuals, technical drawings and regulatory requirements
Installation of complex structural assemblies
Working to fine tolerances and high standards
Use sealants, various fasteners and bonding techniques as per technical standards
Maintain the highest standards of tool control within the work area
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Candidate Requirements
Completed an engineering apprenticeship, ideally in aeronautical engineering or military equivalent
Live aircraft sheet metal/structural experience
Excellent knowledge of airframes
Right to work in the UK
Subject to UK security vetting
